Do you feel like you have bad luck when it comes to picking out hotels? Have the last couple of experiences that you’ve had with hotels been downright disturbing or upsetting? Unfortunately, many people are unable to recognize the signs of a sub-par hotel. However, there are many ways to tell if the hotel that you’re staying at is a great and safe place or a shabby, run-down disaster. So what are some of the top characteristics of stellar hotels? Whether you’re searching for hotels in Bricktown, OKC, or in Billings, MT, here are a few of the characteristics that you should look for in your next hotel.
The Cleanliness of the Lobby
Sure, you can’t always judge a book by its cover; however, one of the best ways to judge a hotel is by the cleanliness of its lobby. When you walk into the lobby of the hotel that you’re staying at, what do you see? Are the floors filthy? Does the refreshment station look like it hasn’t been cleaned in a few days? All of these signs are indicative of the kind of service that you’ll find throughout the hotel. When you’re staying in a hotel overnight, cleanliness is a must. Period. Staying in a hotel that offers anything less than the bare minimum in cleanliness should be given the boot—immediately. However, if you walk into your hotel lobby and notice that the lobby looks clean, pleasant, and refreshing, then there’s a good chance that the rest of the hotel amenities will follow suit. Trust your instincts when it comes to issues of cleanliness; don’t settle for anything less than perfect. Not only will you get a much better night’s sleep, you won’t leave the hotel the next morning feeling like you’ve just spent the night on a public train or bus.
The Staff Is Courteous and Friendly
Sure, sometimes the most comfortable and expensive hotels have staff members that aren’t quite the friendliest people on the planet. However, the friendliness of the staff at a hotel can be extremely indicative of the type of service that you’ll receive during your stay. Do staff members go out of their way to help you carry your bags to your room? Are they more than happy to comply with additional requests that you make? Even though these things may seem small, they will make a critical difference in the quality of your stay. So whether you’re searching for hotels in Bricktown, OKC, or in Billings, MT, make sure that you choose a hotel with a courteous and friendly staff.

When planning for improvements in your garden, or some commercial landscaping in Dulles, VA, it is important to understand the scope of the work before you begin. Starting a job that cannot be finished due to time constraints or material cost, generally makes a space look worse than if it had been left alone. On a commercial level, there are safeguards and procedures in place that usually prevent this from happening, but when you are working on your own yard, you are the safeguard, and you should be extra vigilant.
Planning Your New Yard
- Planning a yard has many steps, the first of which begin on paper. Before you start looking at materials and placement of walls, check to see what your overall budget is for the space. Once you know how much you can spend—and you should be conservative on your quote, given that most jobs run over—you can then begin to list what sorts of features you want and what you can afford.
- As you plan for the features that you want in your yard, bear in mind that one feature may include many different factors, all of which cost money. For example: if you want to install a flat patio on sloping ground, you need to factor in more than just the cost of the concrete and the labor. Leveling the ground will require the rental of heavy equipment, and possibly hiring the services of a laborer to do the leveling. It may also require building retaining walls, which are a big investment in and of themselves. This one example is illustrative of a single feature that will require multiple fees that may not be readily apparent.
- Once you have the features listed, you should then look at developing some drawings that plan out your space. Though it may cost you some money, it would be well to enlist the services of a professional at this point. While you may want grass in one area, fed by a sprinkler system, a specialist will be able to help you design where the sprinkler heads should be to make sure that the grass is properly watered and your investment is protected. There are so many things that can be overlooked in a plan, so hiring a professional to look over (and possibly draw the yard design) may be money well spent.
- Once you have the plans, the next step is to decide on materials. This step involves looking at the features you need to place in the yard and then assigning each feature a dollar amount for materials and labor. As with any good budget, you may need to rob Peter to pay Paul on some of these features. If, for example, you want granite stone pavers for a walkway, and find that you have not allocated enough money to the feature, you will need to purchase cheaper materials for a different feature in order to make up the shortfall. Of course, you can always go with pavers for the walkway to keep that feature within budget; or, if you decide that you can’t live without stone, you could increase the overall amount that you are willing to spend, as often happens in landscaping projects.
Once you have the budget, the plan, the materials, and the tools, you are ready to begin your home or commercial landscaping in Dulles, VA. Unfortunately, while you can control most of the job elements, you can’t plan for the weather.

Sometimes the less expensive options are the most exciting and will create lasting memories for years to come. Places like the library, museums and aquariums have fun events for kids of all ages to interact with that will teach them something rather than deaden their sense like a movie could. Finding attractions in Minnesota is very easy. All it takes is a few clicks with a mouse and you and your family will have a new and exciting weekend lined up.

Bowling in Columbus is one of the great past times for people who prefer sporting events to be a social occasion that everyone can enjoy. There are lots of great sports for people to participate in but bowling has to be the premier social sport. First of all, a person needs no training, no knowledge of the sport, or any serious athletic ability in order to enjoy bowling. The seating is designed in such a way as to be able to enjoy each of the participants in an intimate setting while each person takes their turn. People can laugh and joke with each other or even get into deep philosophical discussions. It is really difficult to stereotype people who bowl because they come in so many different types and flavors. Some take themselves and their level of play seriously while others do not, but nobody’s game infringes on another persons. Read the rest of this entry »
