The AARP, that great defender of the elderly-rights (above things like education and child-care just to name a couple of things
they think are worthless) has recognized Ithaca as the greenest community in 2008. According to their September/October issue, we have the highest percentage of people who bike or walk to work. We are waaaaaaayyyy over the national norm. Check out their cute grid below. Good thing the print is small so their readers won’t think of moving here. ![]()

Yeah, but notice how Missoula shows up twice, to only once for Ithaca!
